During a residency, conceived as an integral part of a studying and research work carried out in the archives of Mai Visti project, the artist Giulio Squillacciotti worked unveiling the narrative potential of primary sources through their reinvention in different contexts merging together fiction and historical facts.
Mai Visti e Altre Storie (www.maivisti.it) is a project born in 2015 with the aim of cataloging and making known the outsider artworks of Art Brut collections of Anthropology and Ethnography Museum of University of Turin, those one of the former Psychiatric Hospital of Collegno and of the Mai Visti Archive of the City of Turin. Based on the idea of Tea Taramino (Città di Torino), it is curated by ARTECO (Annalisa Pellino and Beatrice Zanelli), in collaboration with Anthropology and Ethnography Museum of University of Turin and sponsored by Compagnia di San Paolo and City of Turin.
