Andreas Angelidakis is one of the two artists invited to design a new Artist’s Light for the 27th edition of the important Turin event. His Light, like many of his works, starts from the imagery linked to ancient Greece to then become a commentary on our everyday lives. The Greek artist moves in that borderland that divides, or unites, art and architecture, the field in which he trained, and very often in his career he has dealt with public space. The meeting between Antonio Grulli, curator of Luci d’Artista, will be an opportunity to get to know the work of one of the most intriguing and sophisticated international artists of the latest generations, protagonist of important international events such as the 2017 document 14 held between Kassel and Athena, the city in which Angelidakis lives and from which he draws continuous inspiration, mixing his personal memory with the history of the city.
