Artissima announces the winners of 11 prizes and awards of the 31st edition. In 2024, Artissima organizes: four prizes in collaboration with partner companies, two awards to commemorate outstanding figures in the art world, five institutional grants for artists and galleries, organized by foundations and organizations, and one fund.
illy Present Future Prize
Angharad Williams is the winner of the 24th illy Present Future Prize, supported by illycaffè since 2001 and assigned to the most innovative project in the curated section Present Future, the area of Artissima set aside for the discovery of new talents.
The artist is represented by the gallery Fanta — MLN, Milano.

VANNI occhiali #artistroom Prize
Nicola Bizzarri is the winner of the fourth edition of the VANNI occhiali #artistroom Prize launched by the brand VANNI occhiali and awarded to the artist whose research can offer an original perspective on reality, acting like a lens to open up an unexpected and surprising horizon.
The artist is presented by the gallery Fuocherello, Volvera (Torino).
The prize has been awarded by an international jury composed of Dimitri Borri, Store Planning Advisor, Loredana Longo, Artist; Dino Vannini, Head of Entertainment Content Management, SKY Italia.
Tossetti Value Photography Award
Rossella Biscotti is the winner of the 5th edition of the Tosetti Value Photography Award, organized by Tosetti Value – Il Family office and created with the aim of investigating the relationship between art and economics, expanding our perspectives on reality.
The artist is represented by the gallery mor charpentier, Paris, Bogotà.
The award has been awarded by a jury composed of Lucrezia Cippitelli, Co-Director contemporary art programme, Kunst Meran, Merano; Walter Guadagnini, Director, Camera – Centro Italiano per la Fotografia, Torino; Lorenzo Vitturi, Artist.
Orlane per l’Arte Prize
Is laveronica gallery, Modica, the winner of the first edition of the Orlane per l’Arte Prize. Promoted by Orlane, one of the most renowned luxury cosmetics brands, it is designed to support the research and entrepreneurial activity of one of the galleries taking part at Artissima.
The award has been awarded by a jury composed of Krist Gruijthuijsen, Independent Curator; Céline Kopp, Director, Le Magasin, Grenoble; Alberto Salvadori, Director and Founder, Fondazione ICA, Milano.
Matteo Viglietta Award by Collezione La Gaia
Francesca Cataldi wins the third edition of the Matteo Viglietta Award, organized by Collezione La Gaia and created to commemorate Matteo Viglietta, a great collector who had a particularly close bond with Artissima from the outset of the fair.
The artist is represented by the gallery Gramma_Epsilon, Athens.
The award was assigned by an international jury composed of Eva Brioschi, Curator, Collezione La Gaia, Busca; Lilou Vidal, Founder, Bureau des réalités, Brussels; Luca Lo Pinto, Director, MACRO, Roma.
Carol Rama Award by Fondazione Sardi per l’Arte
Belen Uriel is the winner of the 5th edition of the Carol Rama Award, organized by Fondazione Sardi per l’Arte and assigned to an artist whose research and work interpret the ideal of unconventional feminine creativity and artistic freedom embodied and transmitted by Carol Rama with her creations and her personality.
The artist is represented by the gallery Madragoa, Lisbon.
The prize has been awarded by an international jury composed of Elisabetta Barisoni, Head of Ca’ Pesaro – Galleria Internazionale d’Arte Moderna, Venezia; Hélène Guenin, Director, MAMAC Musée D’Art Moderne et Contemporain, Nice; Martina Vovk, Director, MSUM Museum of Contemporary Art, Ljubljana.
Premio Diana Bracco – Imprenditrici ad Arte
Agnieszka Fąferek is the winner of the second edition of Premio Diana Bracco – Imprenditrici ad arte, organized by Fondazione Bracco in collaboration with Fondazione Roberto de Silva e Diana Bracco of Milano, assigned to an emerging Italian or foreign woman gallerist whose entrepreneurial background reflects a strong focus on artistic quality and research.
Agnieszka Fąferek is the gallerist of Eastcontemporary gallery, Milano.
The prize has been awarded by an international jury composed of Isabella Bortolozzi, Founder, Galerie Isabella Bortolozzi, Berlin; Giovanna Forlanelli, President, Fondazione Luigi Rovati; Chiara Parisi, Director, Centre Pompidou, Metz.
Premio Pista 500 by Pinacoteca Agnelli
Paul Pfeiffer is the winner of the second edition of Premio Pista 500, created in 2023 in collaboration with Pinacoteca Agnelli to offer the possibility to an artist to make a work on the permanent billboard of the testing track on the roof of the Lingotto, in close proximity to Artissima.
The artist is represented by the gallery Thomas Dane, London, Napoli.
The award has been assigned by an international jury composed of Meriem Berrada, Director, MACAAL, Marrakech; Fatima Hellberg, General Director, MUMOK Museum Moderner Kunst, Vienna; Sara Cosulich, Director, Pinacoteca Agnelli, Torino, Pietro Rigolo, recently appointed as Chief Curator and Head of Pinacoteca Agnelli’s collection (in office since 2025).
“ad occhi chiusi…” Prize by Fondazione Merz
Monia Ben Hamouda wins the fourth edition of the Prize “ad occhi chiusi…”, based on collaboration between Artissima and Fondazione Merz and assigned to international artists whose work best reflects the foundation’s research on young artists in the Mediterranean.
The artist is represented by ChertLüdde gallery, Berlin.
The prize has been awarded by an international jury composed of Beatrice Merz, President, Fondazione Merz, Torino; Sandra Patron, Director, CAPC, Bordeaux; Agata Polizzi, Independent Curator; Mirjam Varadinis, Curator, Kunsthaus, Zurich.
Oelle – Mediterraneo Antico Prize
Daniela Ortiz is the winner of the third edition of the Oelle – Mediterraneo Antico Prize, promoted by Fondazione Oelle and designed to enhance contemporary artistic research, particularly from the “South of the world”. It encompasses various fields, including visual arts, photography, video, sound art, and more (such as literature) — actions understood as cultural crossings in Sicily and the Mediterranean.
The artist is represented by the gallery laveronica, Modica.
The prize has been awarded by a jury composed of Katerina Gregos, Director, EMST, Athens; Grazia Quaroni, Director, Fondation Cartier pour l’Art Contemporain, Paris; Caterina Riva, Director, MACTE, Termoli.
Ettore e Ines Fico Prize
Daniele Di Girolamo is the winner of the 15th edition of Ettore e Ines Fico Prize, organized by MEF Museo Ettore Fico of Torino with the purpose of promoting and sustaining the work of young artists through an acquisition. Among the artists taking part in the fair, the winners have been chosen for creative poetics and research conducted on an international level.
The artist is represented by the gallery Traffic, Bergamo.
The prize has been awarded by Andrea Busto, Director, MEF – Museo Ettore Fico, Torino.
Artissima New Entries Fund
The galleries Hatch, Paris, Manuš, Spalato and MATTA, Milano are the winners of the second edition of the Artissima New Entries Fund, which is part of the three-year IDENTITY program and began in 2023 and is developed by the fair to facilitate the participation of three galleries in the 2024 edition.
The prize has been awarded by a jury composed of Emma Enderby, Director, Kunstwerke, Berlin; Lauriane Gricourt, Director, Les Abattoirs, Musée – Frac Occitanie, Toulouse; Andrea Lissoni, Director, Haus der Kunst, Munich; Marcus Reymann, Director, Ocean Space TBA21, Venice.
