Artissima 2020 changes shape. Over the past months, we have worked tirelessly for the success of this edition with our usual determination in order to welcome galleries, art lovers, and the fair’s partners, in absolute safety and in full compliance with the current regulations.
A careful examination of the latest developments in the healthcare situation in Europe and around the world, and a precise assessment of its inevitable consequences, have led us today to make the difficult but necessary decision not to open the exhibition pavilion for the 27th edition of Artissima. In our commitment to you, our visitors and the city, we are nevertheless drawing up an alternative physical programme, conceived with Fondazione Torino Musei, and digital projects to be inaugurated on the original dates. The 2020 edition of Artissima will continue to be a key appointment on the international calendar and an opportunity for meetings and in-depth studies, for Torino and for the world of contemporary art.
None of the energy and commitment of those who have continued to believe in and support the Artissima project with such trust and enthusiasm will be wasted.
We believe that art can be our guide, for it has always been a catalyst for the most innovative visions, and it will help us open up new scenarios that reveal a profound and carefully pondered transformation.
