A very special placed, used in the past by the referees of the skating competition during the 2006 Winter Olympics, is the stage for a unique setup of the LAGO design (www.lago.it) at Artissima.
Born from a happy encounter among the staff of LAGO and Artissima, the “bubble” hanging from the ceiling of Lingotto Oval has been designed to host the apartment-office of Sarah Cosulich, never-resting director of the fair; in these early hours it is clear already that she must be ubiquitous, as she goes from a press conference to a meeting, from a conversation to an organizational moment with her staff.
We’ve been here since this morning, that’s to say before the official opening. And while the LAGO staff around for all last minute styling touches of this surprising space, we welcome journalists, curators, and even Sarah’s parents, who happened to be here and we don’t miss to drag all the way up these stairways to the Artissima sky-with no idea of who they actually are.Lago sofas (http://www.lago.it/italian-furniture/divani-e-poltrone) are for relaxing, the Air tables http://www.lago.it/prodotti/tavolo-air are for sharing work and community moments, and-why not-for a drink and a snack; and there’s even an Air bed http://www.lago.it/prodotti/letto-air for those who are tired.
Just under our …carpets, the VIP lounge has made space to two long and welcoming LAGO COMMUNITY TABLES, the heart of the Untitled Bistro, managed by La Credenza. Even here, you can’t live of Art alone….
