Artissima invites important international collectors to form a Board of Advisors: Matt Aberle, Los Angeles; Marc and Josée Gensollen, Marseille; Maurizio Morra Greco, Napoli; Gregory Papadimitriou, Athens; Matteo and Bruna Viglietta, Busca/Cuneo). The Board supports the Board of Directors in the selection of exhibitors and supervises the national and foreign promotional policies of ARTissima.

The first edition of “Ascolta chi scrive” is a new initiative of ARTissima created for the public, a series of visits guided by important art journalists who create personal itineraries through the fair, with the aim of conveying in-depth knowledge of the works on view. Other new developments for 2005 include the photography exhibition “In Principio – Ethiopia 2004” by Sebastião Salgado, sponsored by illycaffè to illustrate the life and work of coffee growers.
