Starting with its second edition, the fair received the support of the City of Torino. The year 1995 marked the beginning of “Saturday Night Art Fever” coordinated by Rebus s.r.l. (the organiser of Artissima). This was the debut of today’s “Contemporary Arts Night”, involving the launch of exhibition spaces and openings in galleries and museums in Torino on Saturday evening, until midnight.

The intriguing initiative “Faxart” offered 200 artists from all over Italy the chance to send a work by fax on the theme “The Velocity of Art”, projected on a giant screen during the fair.
